Thunder Nudge Into Top Spot In 11A; NRSM Stays First In 9-Man

Opinions are divided on who is best in 11A football, and that division has led to a new number one team.  Meanwhile, there s little doubt about the other in the 11A and 9-man football polls, released Wednesday by the North Dakota Associated Press Sportscasters Sportswriters Association. By the margin of one vote, Ellendale/Edgeley/Kulm takes over number one in 11A.  The Thunder and previous number one Velva-Drake-Anamoose Garrison both received eight first place votes, but one more second-place vote put EEK at the top of the poll. 9-man s leader remains two-time defending champion New Rockford-Sheyenne/Maddock, as it has all season.  Also for the seventh consecutive poll, LaMoure-Litchville/Marion is second.  Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter is fourth for the second straight week.
